- Cossack mountain, Korobov hutora (Gomolshanski forest, Koropovo)
Korobovi Khutora is a resort that located in the Korpovo village. Korobovi Khutora surrounded by many legends, which first of all connected with Cossack hill.
Cossack hill is a 60m high, it’s located on the south from Korpovo and overlooking Siverskiy Donets river.
According to the legend Zmiy Gorynych ( magic flying dragon) lived there and it’s a place where girls lives were sacrificed. And this is the place where legendary fight between Zmiy Gorynych and bogatyr Mykyta Kozhumyaka ( Slavic folk hero) happened. Also there is a Saint Nicholas monastery which was a center of the Cossack’s army. Monastery was destroyed right after Cossack Sich was wiped out, because Cossacks on the run were hiding there. Now the hill is named after them, and to commemorate their memory cross was established there.
