Karazin Radiophysical Observatory, Zmiiv

The Radiophysical Observatory was founded in 1964. It is located near the city of Kharkiv and includes a wide range of radar instruments. The observatory includes MF radar, HF Doppler (vertical and oblique) radar, satellite radio receivers, magnetometers and ionospheric probe. It allows researchers to investigate the various interacting processes operating in the ionosphere within the altitude range of ~ 60-1000 km, and the characteristics of the propagation of radio waves within the frequency group up to 2 GHz, simultaneously with magnetometer measurements.
