










Source "Skovorodynivs’ka Well" (or Cold Well of Skovoroda) is a source named after the famous Ukrainian philosopher Grigory Skovoroda. Located on the west of the village Babai if you go through Babai forest.
The History
According to legend, it was Gregory Skovoroda who found this source. He threw water from the ground after he accidentally plunged his staff deep into the ground. The water has a very unusual taste and was very cold. This is what gave the two names of the source.
During the Soviet Union time, a memorial plaque was erected here stating that the source is a monument of history and culture. Nowadays it is also considered a hydrological monument of nature.
