Lviv City Hall is a building with a tower in the center of Lviv. It is located at Rynok square, 1. The building is an administrative building and serves as the location of the central city government of the city all the time of its existence.

History
According to historical references, the Lviv City Hall has experienced many battles, reconstructions and falls. The first one was supposedly built of wood in the 1370s. A little later, there is confirmation of the existence of the town hall, which is already more like the typical ones that were built in German cities based on Magdeburg law. There were two halls, one for meetings and the other for shopping. The building continued to be changed, rebuilt, enlarged and expanded. At the beginning of the XVI century the town hall was completed and did not last long. In 1527, it was badly damaged during a fire. The building was rebuilt, and at the end of the XVI century there was a fire again.

Since then, a lot has happened to Lviv City Hall. As we used to see it, it became in the 1830s. Since then, there have been almost no massive alterations. There were battles, damage, but at the end of the XIX century the building acquired its current appearance. New clocks and a flag were installed. The building has served the Lviv City Council since 1939.
