The village of Kovalevka on the bank of the Kamenka river near Kiev is called the village of dreams, a modern European town and Ukrainian Switzerland. Its history began in 1501 from the house of Mini blacksmith Nazarenko, whose profession gave the name to the village.

A new stage in the life of Kovalevka began in the early 90s of the 20th century with the advent of the Agrofirma Rassvet. Its founders, in fact, owe the village a modern infrastructure and fame. They say that patrons of art inspired British villages.

Now in Kovalevka there are modern shops, a restaurant complex, a pizzeria, a hotel, a gymnasium, a stadium, an ice stadium, a house of culture.

In 1997, in the center of the settlement, the Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos was built, next to which is the second monument in Ukraine to Metropolitan Petro Mohyla.
In 2014, another church was built - the Temple of St. Tatiana. It is here that the "Iveron" icon of the Mother of God, brought from Mount Athos, is located.

Another pride of the inhabitants of Kovalevka is the "clock of eternity" made from plants and flowers. They are said to be on the site of the house of the first inhabitant of the village. Favorite locations for walking the population are the central square with fountains and the landscaped park with a lake in which white and black swans live. According to legend, the Chumatsky Way used to pass here. Once on the cart of a chumatsk there was a sick Tatar with a swan. Koval Mina decided to take her to her and go out. A few years later the couple got married. In memory of this story, a bridge of love was built across the pond.

For several years, Kovalevka was chosen to hold the "Zhnyva" ethnofestival, which is designed to revive agricultural traditions.

And the "dream village" is famous for its unique dish "Kowalewski Meat". For him, they take only dairy calves of a special breed, which are bred at the local farm "Rassvet".
