If you want to find out where the water comes in Kharkiv taps, first of all you have to visit Kochetok township in Chuhuiv district. There is Service water management enterprise called “ Donec” located in Chuhuiv. This enterprise abstracts water from Siverskyi Donets river, purifies the water and delivers it to Kharkiv. Which made it perfect place to set up museum of “Water”, it was created by the workers of this enterprise in 1982.

You can see dioramas of nature of Kochetok and Siverskiy Donets; models of old water supply systems, water filter; detailed model of water abstraction and purification system; schematic map of the Siverskiy Donec river and Kharkiv water supply system and other various interesting things. Archives of old photos and documents describing life of the Kochetok enterprise in different periods of time deserves to be highlighted.

During the excursion you will hear interesting facts about process of the water purification and problems connected to its pollution.

Before you visit museum, it’s advised to call the head of the museum to set up the time for excursion.
