For some reason, very few people know that in the village of Kadnytsa in the Bogoduhivsky district there is a former landed estate (albeit in a completely neglected state). It’s very easy to get there: take any bus from the Central Market station to Bogodukhova and in forty minutes you will arrive to the village of Gorky, then walk 3 kilometers in the northern direction and you’re there! You will surely pass picturesque and beautiful places!

And now let’s take a look at the historic aspect of Kadnytsa. Here’s an excerpt from the archives:
The village of Kadnytsa of the Kharkiv region (taken from a financial annotation dating back to 1804).
Owners: court councillor Ivan Eustakhovich Kulikovsky, majoress Ulyana Alekseyevna Petrovich, сollegiate сouncillor Andrei Ivanovich Kovalevsky. Buildings - 32, men - 129, women - 146, land - 1404 acres 1692 sazen (1 sazen equals 2.1336 meters).

"The village Kadnytsa is settled on the left side of the river Kadnytsa between peaks, with two houses of residence of the lordship. The landowner Kulikovsky owns a water mill on two pillars, which operates in the spring and autumn, and the owner himself uses it. Kulikovsky also has one distillery with five cauldrons in which in the winter time can be produced up to 1000 buckets of hot wine for which he provides his own bread, firewood and workers. The summer mansion extends to both sides of the river and resides on the sandy and clay-like chernozem (black soil), hayfields are located along the gullies, the forest provides useable wood from the oaks. The peasants work mostly on the arable land, have scarce possessions, cattle breeding is very small." GAKHO F.24, op.3, ed.hr.21, l.77 vol.

An interesting case that concerns this village goes back to 1783. Then of the peasants of the landlord Vasily Logachev called himself the king.

Another interesting fact is that Skovoroda, the famous Ukrainian philosopher, has probably visited Kadnytsa on his many travels, because a significant part of the land at that time belonged to his friend A.I. Kovalev.
