Monument of Andrii Pervozvannyi, one of the 12th apostles that used to travel around Ukraine and preach in ancient Scythia and on the territories of modern Ukraine, was established in the 24th of December 2003 in Zaporizhzhia square near the local Cathedral. The over mentioned square was reconstructed in 2018 and now it looks even more beautiful - full of peaceful and at the same time bellicose atmosphere, reminding about Cossacks’ times.

The opening ceremony of this monument was held with participation of Metropolitan Volodymyr from local Cathedral and also the monument was consecrated. This ceremony is rather symbolic, as according to the legends, in one village of Zaporizhzhia region Andrii Pervozvannyi found a healing spring, located on the top of the hill named Lysohirka. Talking about its history, the monument was made according to the project of one of the most famous Zaporizhzhia sculpturists named Mykola Sobol.

This monument is 5 meter high and is made mostly from bronze. The monument’s details were created in art studio in Kharkiv and these details were gathered together on “Motor Sich” enterprise in Zaporizhzhia. The certain address of this monument is on Motorobudivnykiv 50 avenue near “Andriivskyi Cathedral” bus stop.
